Time:

• Teams play two 22-minute halves with running clock, except last minute of each half.

• Teams allowed one full time out per half, no carry-overs.

• Five-minute warm-ups before each game.  Five-minute half-times.

• Overtime periods.  First one is 1 minute long.  The second one, if needed, is first to score.  The alternate possession rule applies to begin each overtime period.

Fouls:

• Shooting foul on made shot is automatic 2 (or 3) points for the team being fouled.  That team retains possession of basketball.

• Shooting foul on missed shot is automatic 1 foul shot that counts for 2 points if made.

• For the last minute of each half and overtime, regular high school rules apply and both teams are in the single bonus.

• Non-shooting fouls are an automatic 1 point for the team being fouled.  That team retains possession of basketball.

Officiating:

• 2 certified high school referees will officiate each game.

• Referees will settle all disputes on site.  There are no protests.

• Teams must supply scorekeeper and timekeeper.

Game Balls:.

• Teams must furnish their own warm-up balls.

League Format:

• KSHSAA basketball rules will apply, except as mentioned above.

• No standings will be kept.

• Schools may enter more than one team.

• An adult coach must maintain a presence on the bench.

Code of Ethics:

• Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated by players, coaches or fans.

• If a player is cited for flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct or fighting, the player will be ejected from the game and suspended from playing the team's next game.

Rosters:

• Rosters should be submitted to league director before the start of first game.

• According to KSHSAA rules, only 3 players from any 2008-09 team may be placed on roster.  (Rule applies only to Kansas high school teams.)
